Guidance for EU/NI customers on the EU General Product Safety Regulation
[Updated 10 Feb 2025]
EU GPSR requires all consumer products, including books and digital sales (software, electronic documents, etc.) to undergo safety testing, labelling and certification; and for all importers into the EU to employ a legal representative based in a Member State who carries responsibility for product safety.
Article 51 of the Regulation fully exempts any product that was already on sale in the EU market before 13 Dec 2024. This applies to our current range of ProGuides, Course Delivery Packs and Handbooks - which can still be purchased by customers in the European Union and Northern Ireland. New product lines released in 2025 will not be available to those customers.
We appreciate that EU and NI customers feel let down by this, but the costs of compliance for new products (including setting up a registered company office in the EU simply to process the documentation) are not at all realistic.
Service industries are not covered by GPSR, and therefore our subscription-based digital platforms and OEM support services continue to be available globally.
